1.8 - Happy Ending

Out of everything she could have made, Stella made a laundry hamper. The teasing she got from Polly lasted days.

Polly got to go out in the car on her own for the first time ever. A boy asked her out on a date, and since Gary had graduated high school, Polly agreed.

Aldous Vanderburg-Shawkti looked straight up in the air to see the rain. And refused to move inside for the duration of their date. He told her all about his job as a waiter, and that he was a virgo (compatible with her own sign). Polly yawned her way through talking to him until it was polite of her to ditch him.

Jasper set up pranks all throughout the house. Tom found them funny. Belle did not. Jasper ended up grounded for a few days.

Max came over to visit. While Polly was playing her guitar, he asked Stella to dance. Polly thought it was adorable.

And funny. Max kept stepping on Stella's feet. She forgave him every time though.

Having been caught in Jasper's pranks a few times, Polly decided that she wanted in on the fun. Plus, she'd overheard her sister talking about getting another tan on the phone to Max.

Stella was not impressed with being orange. "I look stupid," she complained. Thankfully, she was able to hide inside until the orange tint went away.

Jasper was determined to master chess. Just once he'd like to beat Belle in a match.

Polly got a golden record for being the best in her music club.

"You know I love you, right?"
  "Of course I do."

"I probably should have done this years ago. But, Belle, will you marry me?"
  "Yes!"

Polly knows exactly what to wish for this time.

  And so does Stella.

A/N: And there it is. The end of generation one. Tune in next time for generation two.

1.7 - Summer Holidays

Since Belle kept getting called into work, it ended up being Tom who had to finish teaching the teenagers to drive. Stellaluna much prefered how easy going her dad was about it. Belle freaked out if she did anything slightly wrong.

Pollyanna was getting much better with her music. Plus it annoyed her little brother, so there was a bonus there. His ears were too sensitive to the sound of the guitar, so he tended to bug Stella more than Polly.

The youngest member of the family became a teenager. His wish was to find his mother.

Though he had no idea how to go about that. So he spent most of his time learning as much as he could about space.

Stella was suppose to join in, but she threw a temper tantrum and couldn't participate. Jasper was happy to win, though he did feel slightly bad for Polly when she threw up everything she ate.

Belle spent her time at the festival just skating. None of the teenagers wanted to join her, so it was a peaceful afternoon.

Tom tried to use their new suntan machine to make himself look like he did leave the house. Unfortunately it didn't work quite the way it was suppose to.

When Jasper's prom rolled around, he didn't bother dressing up. Though he did manage to win prom king due to guts alone on not dressing up.

Though most are hard to see, Belle goes to the tattoo parlour every week to get a new tattoo.

On nights that he couldn't stargaze, Jasper would read all the skill books they owned.

The twins had a better experience with getting tans.

They weren't quite as embarrassed to use their new rink at home where no one would see how many times they fell while learning to skate.

Polly also played games to pass away summer holidays.

Restoring brain power, much better than sleeping.

Belle learned enough in science to begin doing experiments.

Polly decided to try suntanning in the sun instead. She didn't tan.

Stella learned to cook. She was nice enough to try to make everything vegetarian for her brother.

  "Uh. Don't tell mom."
"Where did you get a chainsaw?"
  "Um."

A/N: So for those who don't know, Stellaluna is going to be the generation two heir.

1.6 - The Life of a Teenager

On Love Day, Jasper spent the day at the festival picking up eggs, looking for the special festival one. He found it just before dusk.

Belle and Tom tried out the love machine, and hit second from the top. Belle thought it was awesome. Tom thought it was cheesy, but pretended to be happy. He didn't need a silly machine to tell him that he loved his girlfriend.

Stella pretended to be absorbed in her painting while listening to Polly talk on the phone to her crush, Gary Chesterfield. Polly kept stuttering over her words, and ended up being too embarrassed to even ask him out.

Jasper decided he wants to be a chef when he grows up! Plus, if he knew how to make his own food, he'd be able to make everything vegetarian!

Prom night! Stella didn't have a date for this first dance, not that she minded. She was only going because Polly made her.

Polly kept cursing herself for not having the courage to ask Gary out for the night. Too late now. Once at the dance, it became apparent that Gary already had a date anyway.
The night got worse for Polly when Stella was named Prom Queen!

The next day was a Saturday, so Stella stayed in to paint all day long. She couldn't get enough of it. She was planning on covering their walls with her artwork. She just had to get better.

In order to give Stella some breathing space. And to not have paint thrown at her head, Polly practiced her guitar in their parents room. She was getting quite good.

  Hot dogs! Polly's specialty.

Belle isn't sure why she thought it would be a good idea to teach her twins to drive, but at least Stella read the handbook before getting in the car! Polly was winging it.

"Are you feeling sick or something, or are mom's meatballs just not good enough for you anymore?"
  "I don't eat meat."
  "Oh."

"Daddy, I have a huge crush on this boy. We danced at prom and he's sent me a few texts, but I don't know what to do!"
Tom cursed having a close relationship with Stella. "Uh. I'm not sure I can help you all that much, princess, boys aren't really my thing... Go ask your mother, if she manages to get home from the hospital today."

In frustration, Stella takes all her anger out on a huge block of clay. Polly tries to play some soothing music, but it doesn't help.

"Jasper, ice cream is not breakfast."

"Thanks, but we cancelled our newspaper delivery. We don't read the paper."
  "Oh, sorry."

Tom's latest book. Belle likes it.

Taking a break between books, Tom plays some FIFA. He's  gotten really good at the game.

Gary stops by to visit with Polly. He's babysitting Emmeline Vanderburg-O'Dourke, and thought to take her out on a walk, her house was on the same street, so why not.

Shortly after Gary left, Stella had invited Maximillian Abbot over. They hit it off immediately.

And decided to start dating too.

A/N: Not too much longer until the second generation! I can't wait.
